Glory to God Forever

Everyone is different in the way they worship God or spend time with God.
Some people like writing or journaling to express worship.
Some people like reading devotionals.
And others are like me & like to worship God through singing.

So ...

I wanted to give those like me the chance to worship in their way! :)

This song is a really amazing song!
I remember I was in 7th grade at a youth group retreat called Fall Mania when I first heard it.
The lyrics really got to me & God really moved in my heart.
It was the first time I had ever realized what it meant to be a follower of Christ.
I had to live out my faith.
I had to be a light to others through my actions.
I remember bursting into tears when the bridge of the song played.
The bridge talks about total surrender.
I had been living life "Hannah's way" for too long & I was focusing on myself & not shining for God's glory
But God, in his INCREDIBLE love, showed me that I needed to give up all of me to Him & He changed me!

While Glory to God Forever by Fee plays, really meditate on the lyrics & open your heart to what God wants to tell you through this song.

Before the world was madeBefore You spoke it to beYou were the King of kingsYeah, You were, yeah, You were
And now You're reigning stillEnthroned above all thingsAngels and saints cry outWe join them as we sing
Glory to God, glory to GodGlory to God, foreverGlory to God, glory to GodGlory to God, forever, yeah
Creator God, You gaveMe breath so I could praiseYour great and matchless nameAll my days, all my days
So let my whole life beA blazing offeringA life that shouts and singsThe greatness of our King
Glory to God, glory to GodGlory to God, foreverGlory to God, glory to GodGlory to God, forever
Take my life and let it beAll for You and for Your gloryTake my life and let it be Yours

Comment & tell me what you think!
Tell me how God spoke to you!:)

1 Corinthians 10:31
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

† Jesus, take my life and let it be all for You and for Your glory, take my life and let it be Yours! Amen.

  4. This is one of the songs I listen too whenever I'm not right with God and I sin. When I heard this at fall mania I felt like God had changed my heart into new one for Him.

  5. I love how much you make us think about everyday things that to us don't seem bad, but really aren't good either. You do a great job at making the little this seen and noticed!

  6. Joey Morlan- "I love this song so much. Whenever I hear it, I question how I am living my life. This song always manages to make me feel guilty and makes me realize that I'm living for God and not myself. Thanks."

  7. This was my first time hearing this song and it really does make you what you are doing everyday and how they aren't for God and you need to make them for God.

  9. I grew up in an Apostolic church. Being a musician, more specifically a percussionist, made it really hard for someone like me to worship. We were taught drums were evil instruments. "Anything with a beat is bad for the heart." is what we were told. I felt awful, because drums were evil and I should not be playing them.
Coming to a new environment, school, and church really changed my perspective of worship. I finally worshiped with my talent in the church band, as I realized that I could worship God in everything I do in life. I love these songs, as they are so new to me, having not known about Christian "Rock" most of my life. The best part is you can hear the drums so clearly in the background making a joyful noise for God!

  10. I think music and singing is a great tool to worship God! This song is a great example of how we shouldn't look for glory ourselves, but give it to God. He is so worthy of all we can give Him, but it's so hard sometimes to not seek glory for ourselves! This was a great post, and I enjoyed it alot!

  11. Glory to God! Singing or listening to music can make people closer to God in more ways than one. This song is a perfect example of Godly worshiping which is what we all should do daily. Only He is worth of our praise and you did a good job explaining it.

  13. Giving all the Glory to God, is hard thing to do in life. Hearing that song, just reminded me of how we need to not take all of the Glory for ourselves, but give it to the one True creator of the world!! Thanks for the reminder!!!!!
